Gianni Schicchi Audition Information
- Repertoire: please prepare two contrasting (e.g. one lyrical and one comedic, and comedic music is very much preferred) arias/songs for directors and producers. You may choose any work in any language or style. While an art song or aria in Italian is preferred, it is most important that you choose a song appropriate to your voice type and that you feel comfortable with.
- Accompaniment: Piano accompaniment will be provided in the audition room, and it is preferred if you provide us with the music when you sign up for the audition.
- For singers interested in the roles of Gianni Schicchi, Lauretta, Rinuccio, or Zita, one of the arias you present should be the corresponding excerpt here.
- If you are interested in two of these four roles, you should just present the two corresponding excerpts.
ORCHESTRA: If you are interested in auditioning for the orchestra, please contact the music director Yizhe at as3881@princeton.edu.
PRODUCTION TEAM: If you are interested in joining the production team, please contact the executive producer Giovanni at gn7788@princeton.edu.
