Who We Are

Princeton Opera Company (POCO) is Princeton’s only student-run opera organization. We are a recognized student organization under the Princeton Undergraduate Student Government and Princeton Arts Council, and we celebrated our fifth year as a staple in the Princeton arts community. POCO proudly shares the operatic art form with the community through fully staged opera productions, recitals, master classes, opera scenes performances, and new music collaborations.

Mission Statement

The company’s mission is to provide performance and educational opportunities in all capacities and to sustain our programs of all scales, from informal gatherings to full opera productions.

We aim to fill the operatic void on campus by giving students opportunities to perform, produce, compose, direct, learn, and love opera on campus and to provide a visible community for students passionate about this art form. We seek to keep opera on campus.
